About
The short story
Born in New Jersey, I joined the U.S. Army in 2009 as a 13B Field Artillery Cannon Crewmember, deploying to Afghanistan in 2011 with the 1st Infantry Division, Task Force Duke.
After the Army I went into science: a B.S. in Physiology from the University of Arizona, election to Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa, and peer-reviewed research in molecular spectroscopy. I completed four years of medical-school coursework at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, made the Dean's List, then stepped away in my final year after my father's heart attack.
I'm relentlessly multidisciplinary: science, music, and art all drive how I work. Today I consult on labs and AI, build websites and apps, tutor, and serve as Founder & CEO of Shroombiosis, a functional-mushroom supplement brand, where I also write and review the health content. I'm a trained, published scientist applying that rigor to supplements, and I review science as a contributor at Die Tryin Co.

Founded December 5, 1776 at the College of William & Mary, Phi Beta Kappa is the oldest academic honor society in the United States, the gold standard for excellence in the liberal arts and sciences.
The Greek initials ΦΒΚ stand for “Philosophia Biou Kybernētēs”: “Love of learning is the guide of life.”
Only about 10% of arts-and-sciences graduates are invited to join, and its members include U.S. presidents, Supreme Court justices, and Nobel laureates.
Onur was elected to Phi Beta Kappa at the University of Arizona.
